The Dream Behind the Myth
A chance not given twice.

Since the beginning in which inhibitors planted roots in America, they initially had a view of renovation, a chance to transform laws of freedom, promote welfare, and live adequately in means that fused with their status. Through ancestry, this hope became The American Dream. Now through modern America, The American Dream has independently and potentially morphed from its history becoming a statement of hope for all who have stepped into this nation of wealth. Arnold Schwarzenegger defines The American Dream as a pursuable prosperity that can be achieved with large sums of hardship and hard work, mostly implying a view of a reachable goal there for everyone delivered with a sense of equality. Therefore anyone is capable of pursuing his/her ultimate goal to a fuller life equipped with assurance of freedoms and rest. Yet, the dream behind the myth does face a lot of debate. There is something, A question must be answered. Is it over-all appropriate for society? “The American Dream is, in part, responsible for a great deal of crime and violence because people feel the country owes not only a living, but a good living “ –David Abrahamsen
This quote implies that The American dream is to be in charge for a percentage of today’s criminal cases that bypass the walls of the media. That in fact people receive “the” living, but try to increase “the” living rank in means that don’t go with what seems to be a “Basic American Life Package” consequently leading to acts of crime and violence to perceive their dream. Both men stated their points of view over The American Dream, both men also prove a point that relates to many people. But for some, in the process of working hard they got carried away with ambition, and society has always been infiltrated with crimes from all races, and genders, and ages. The American Dream is capable of being terribly deceiving and competitive, but it’s always there. Everywhere you gaze. It won’t leave you for the given time, but it won’t be given twice. From My personal relationship with this topic, I assume that this Dream can manipulate with how committed you can be, and it rewards you after it frees you from its labyrinth. In the process, all who have taken this road of successful opportunities, winded around self improvement, meet high ends with the American culture, enhancing it with the color of belief. The end of this popular road, meets peace, and good living, for one, and their offspring.

What is your American dream.

“You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one”
- James A. Froude

I thought it was interesting to read. You picked a good quote to sum up your essay.

A Chance Not Given Twice. (Capitalize titles)

What is your American dream. ( I think this is a question?)

“You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one” (period after one.")

What’s my American Dream? Well, it would be to express myself and my creativity without someone or other saying that what I’m doing is stupid and childish. It would also be nice if there were more people out there who didn’t question me everytime I read a book that is foreign to them or when I’m studying a new language. It would also be nice if people didn’t concern themselves with my interests and hobbies so much.
