Can I get temporary insurance to drive my daughter’s car in the UK?

I have a valid lisense in the USA and will be visiting in Feb
I’m certain that she only has 3rd party insurance.

in the UK you can get short term policies at:

If your daughters car is insured fully comprehensive, you can drive it on your US licence anyway!

I very much doubt it but if you can the best way might be to see if she can add you to her policy.

Yes. If your daughter rings her insurance company you can be added to her policy for a price. How much depends how her company rates the risk of having you on the policy. The fact you are not a UK license holder may make that a high premium, or may even prevent it happening. But as she already has insurance on the car, its the only way possible. The temporary insurance websites mentioned are only good for insuring cars with NO current insurance.
