How to get Temporary Car Insurance for one week in Florida?
Heres the deal. In May a couple of my friends and I are going to fly into Florida to visit some relatives. They have an extra car that nobody uses on a day to day basis, so instead of renting a car for the week… we would rather drive this car around. The problem is insurance… I don't know anything about this if its possible or not. Is there anyway to get one of us insured to drive the car for a week, we are all insured drivers here in Michigan if that matters. Also would it make any difference that the car we are using is my Aunt's, so we are closely related.
Any information, experience with this type of situation, contact numbers etc. would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
If your aunt has insurance that allows anyone to drive and still be covered, that'll do. or if your local insurance company allows you to drive whatever car you're using. I'm not sure from out of state drivers, but my best bet is the insurance your aunt already has on the car. Or make her call her isnurance and add you onto her policy for the months being and taken off after.
